Summer Garden

Today we watched the butterflies and bees buzzing and flitting around the buddleia in the garden.

They are right next to the play house and there are so many of them around at the moment.

We found tortoiseshells, peacocks and red admirals as well as lots of buzzy bees soaking up the nectar.

Then we looked at our butterfly and bee stories - 10 Busy Bees, Ten Wriggly Wiggly Caterpillars and of course The Very Hungry Caterpillar.

And we sang our buzzy bee song....

Curl your fingers in a fist and peep in to see if you can see the bees.

Here is the beehive,
Where are the bees?
Hiding away where nobody sees,
Soon they will all come out of their hive,
1 2 3 4 5...BZZZZZZZZ!!!  (open your fingers out one at a time, and then wiggle them like bees buzzing away)
